Do you ever wonder what God thinks of you as a leader?  Is He impressed?  Is He proud of you?  Do you think He appreciate your efforts, motives, and hard work?  I think I got a small picture of what He thinks about our Christian leadership efforts today.

You see, I’ve been working on a project at work for several weeks.  The sum part of those efforts culminated today with the arrival to my office of the conference workbooks I oversaw the creation of.  Did you catch that, something I helped create.

Genesis 1:26 tells us we were created by Him in His image.  The feelings I had about my creation gave me a small window into how I think God feels about His creation, you and me.

  1. I Was Proud Of My Creation
  2. I Knew The Amount Of Effort That Went Into My Creation
  3. I Knew My Creation Wasn’t Perfect But I Loved It Anyway
  4. No One Can Tell Me That My Creation Was Bad
  5. My Creation Was Unique
  6. My Creation Sits On My Shelf Life A Trophy
  7. My Creation Will Have A Positive Impact On Others
  8. I Showed My Creation To Everyone In The Office

There are several HUGE differences between God’s creation of human beings and my feeble attempt of creativity with a conference workbook.  One is that I needed the help of others while God is completely self-sustaining.  The main one though is that as much as I appreciated the workbook, I would never die for it.  I certainly would not sacrifice something important for it.

Jesus loved the human race so much that He died for it allowing an eternal relationship with Him to take place.  When I looked at that beautiful, wonderful workbook I couldn’t help but think about how Jesus must feel when He looks at me.

How do you think Jesus feels about you?
