This was a great week for writing on leadsership.  I know I was stretched as a husband, father, man, employee, and church leader.  The following are the Top 10 Leadership Posts I read the week of June 25th.  Let me know what you think.

  1. Special Needs: Is The Church Forgetting An Entire Segment Of The Population?  by Paul Alexander.  This will drive all church leaders to ask some hard questions about how welcoming your environment is to special needs families.
  2. The Economy Continues to Squeeze  Americans’ Charitable Giving by George Barna.  The news is not getting better.
  3. Feeling Blah About Work? Don’t Blame Your Boss–Get Engaged by Timothy Clark at www.FastCompany.com.  For some readers of this post, it is time for you to take responsibility and action.
  4. 4 Ways to Spot Your Church’s Rising Stars by Scott Cochrane.  There are times when writers simply get on a roll.  Scott is in the leadership writing zone right now!  I could have picked 3 or 4 of his recent posts of his for this week’s recap.
  5. Fatherless Daughters by Scott Couchenour of www.ServingStrong.com.  The statistics Scott lists are alarming!
  6. ‘Why I Will Never Be a Victim’ by Save The Date founder Jennifer Gilbert as told to Burt Helm at www.Inc.com.  Incredibly inspiring story for any leader facing significant obstacles.
  7. The Dumbest Things Pastors Say About Money by Casey Graham at www.GivingRocket.com.  Oh my!
  8. The Only Definition of Success That Matters by Jeff Haden at www.Inc.com.  This makes you ask one very important question.
  9. Superstar Versus Team by Chris Lautsbaugh at www.NoSuperHeroes.com.  I am loving Chris’ site.
  10. Where Are You Men? by John Voncannon.  John is the Executive Pastor of North Ridge Church in Asheboro, NC.  John is an incredible leader with great insights!
