Yesterday I was getting a haircut and asked the stylist, “What do you have planned for Easter?”  The following is a portion of the conversation which followed:

“A lot.  Easter is my favorite holiday.”

“Really.  Why is that?”

“Because Easter is the holiday of second chances.  It is the holiday when things are made new.  I love Easter.”

She then went on tell me about her work in a maximum security prison for women.  This Sunday she will be baptizing eight women as part of the prison’s Easter service.

As I reflected on that conversation, I thought it would be great idea to make this week’s Top 10 list focus on Jesus, Good Friday, Easter, the cross and second chances.
