The afternoon’s third session was conducted by Sallie Krawcheck.  Sallie has been called “The Last Honest Analyst” on Wall Street by Fortune Magazine.  She argued that clients should be reimbursed for a portion of the losses they incurred during the financial downturn.  Sallie was named number 9 on Fast Company’s list of the “100 Most Creative People 2014.”

  2. The retirement savings crisis in this country is a women’s crisis. 80% of the people in retirement homes are women.

  5. Women are woefully under-invested vs. the men.
  6. Companies that have more women in leadership have higher returns on investment, greater long-term focus, lower risk.
  7. Diverse teams outperform more smarter teams.

  9. Diversity has the potential to improve ethics on Wall Street.
  10. The growth in the lending industry was masking a decline in quality.

  21. For so many the best person for the job looks just like us.
  22. We women are tired. Guys, it’s hair and make up. It’s so tiring.
  23. Watch the micro-lessons. We’re not born knowing lessons. We have to learn it.
  24. Research shows we give less feedback to women because we think they’re going to cry.
  25. Imagine all the pats on the back you don’t get.
  26. If we use our money for our purpose, you can have returns and value.
  27. It hurt to get fired on the front page of the Wall Street Journal twice.
  28. “Yes mommy. I Googled you. You’re one of the good guys (on Wall Street).”
  29. I work everyday as if my children are watching me. Because they are.
  30. I am so grateful for every day.
  31. All the opportunities I’ve been given is my responsibility to give back.
  32. My worst day is so much better than most people’s best day.
