I’ve talked to many people recently who think they are “nothing special” and “their life doesn’t matter much”. If you are feeling this way I want to be completely honest with you – I could not disagree more!
If you would give me permission, I would like to speak into your life.
Every human being ever conceived was done so with a divine purpose, including you. You were uniquely woven together with skills, abilities, insights, and a personality that no one else has. You bring your school, family, business, neighborhood, social circles, and even enemies something completely unique that cannot be replicated.
We live in a world that bullies, marginalizes, makes fun of, and dismisses people as unimportant, stupid or beneath them. These individuals are small-minded people who simply lack the perspective necessary to see and/or maximize human potential.
Always remember that one person’s character does not determine yours. In that same sense, if a person does not see the value in you, that is not a measure of your value. It is a measure of their’s.
I want you to know that if you were not here, you would be deeply missed. You matter. You make a difference. Your life counts.Â
Jesus thought you were so valuable that He gave up Heaven for 33 years and died so He could hang out with you for eternity. If Jesus feels that way about you, that’s good enough for me.
I often feel marginalized and worthless myself. We’ve all been there. Hang in there my friends. You’re going to make it.
And when you do make it, please read this post back to me. I’ll probably need to be reminded of these truths myself. Once again, we’ve all been there…and we will be there again.
