Live Notes From Catalyst – 14 Leadership Lessons From Andy Stanley

I am here at the Catalyst Conference and Andy Stanley opened as usual.  And as usual, he was absolutely spot-on and insightful.  Here are his comments:

  • “The more successful you are the less accessible you will become.”
  • “To refuse to face this reality and burn out trying to be accessible to everyone.”
  • “We use our success as an excuse to be more inaccessible than necessary.”
  • “Unawareness is bliss.”
  • “The mor aware you are the more helpless you feel.”
  • “There is no problem solved in 30 minutes.”
  • “You can’t shut it all out but you can’t take it all on.”
  • “Do for one what you wish you could do for everyone.”
  • “Fairness ended in the Garden of Eden.”
  • “Don’t be fair.  Be engaged.”
  • “Go deep rather than wide.  Go long-term rather than short-term.  Go time, not just money.”
  • “What we need in ministry is success stories.”
  • “When you can track the spiritual growth of one family, it gives you hope for all families.”
  • “When you do for one, you often end up doing for more than just one.”
