This is a live blog post from a conference Injoy Stewardship Solutions is putting on today called Funded And Free. You can still go to www.injoystewardship.com’s Home Page to catch live streaming for the remainder of the day.
The leader of ISS, Joe Sangl, just gave an incredible session entitled 8 Things Church Leaders Do Who Have A Fully-Funded Vision. The following is his list that all leaders can learn from:
Church Leaders Who Have A Clear Vision:
1. They have a Clear Vision and Keep Saying It. The #1 barrier to maximum giving is unanswered questions. The #1 question pastors will get is “What’s next?”
2. They Believe In People.
3. They Value Relationships. When pastors love their people, their people know it.
4. They Maintain Financial Margin. No church should ever serve as an non-profit. Having margin allows you to focus on the vision.
5. They Teach People to Win with Their Money God’s Way. 70% of people in churches are broke. When you ask these people to fund your vision, they’re ashamed. Are you helping to people to fund their personal vision before you ask them to fund yours?
6. Clearly Demonstrate The Need.
7. Create Multiple On-Ramps to Giving. Use kiosks and digital giving.
8. They Partner With Experts. If your church has a need to raise capital to fund its vision, please comment on this post and let me know and I will be glad to contact you.
Once again, you can still go to www.injoystewardship.com and catch the rest of the day.
