Tonight, LeBron James of the Miami Heat has the opportunity to win his first NBA Championship. If the Heat do win the series, it will be because James practiced one of the great leadership prinicples – Play To Your Strengths.
Great leaders are also disciplined. James has been disciplined enough to continually drive to the basket throughout the series. He is reminded me of that runaway locomotive in the Denzel Washington movie Unstoppable.
Great leaders are inspirational. James has become a great leader! Nowhere was this better displayed that playing through pain in the 4th quarter of Game 4.
Great leaders perform in critical situations. James has been dominate during the 4th quarter throughout the play-offs.
I have written many posts on the game’s best player in the past. The following are a collection of these posts that all leaders can learn from and apply to their individual disciplines. Enjoy!
