The Allstate commercial shown above is the best advertisement I have seen since the Super Bowl ad And God Made A Farmer.
As the commercial says, “There are man-eating sharks in every ocean but we still swim.
Every second somewhere in the world lightning strikes but we still play in the rain.
Poisonous snakes can be found in 49 of the 50 states but we still go looking for adventure.
A car can crash. A house can crumble but we still drive and love coming home.
Because I think deep down we know all the bad things that can happen in life, they can’t stop us from making our lives good.”
This commercial reminds us of life’s possibilities, our potential, and he God-given desire we all share to change the world. It also reminds us of a leader’s life.
Failure happens but the leader perseveres.
Disappointment is a constant companion but the leader inspires.
Fatigue sets in but the leader shows up anyway.
Fear strikes but the leader presses forward.
Opposition arises but the leader overcomes.
Problems occur but the leader innovates and finds solutions.
Selfishness comes but the leader responds with generosity.
People suffer but the leader brings relief.
Markets crash, jobs are lost, and our health fails but the leader never loses hope.
Neither fear nor lack of financial resources nor lack of options can stop the leader.
Because I think deep down we know all the bad things that can happen in life, they can’t stop leaders from making the lives of others good.
