The #1 Thing Leaders Can Do To Increase Their Influence

All leaders want to increase their influence.  They want to have greater impact in the lives of those they lead and serve.  The question becomes what is the best and most efficient way to accelerate this process?

Every month I compile a Top 10 list of my most read posts to see what trends and learnings we can take away.  January 2015 was the most read month in this site’s history.  A special thank you to all the readers of this site.  What is interesting is the top seven posts were promoting other church leaders.

What we learn from January 2015 is the quickest way to increase your influence is generosity.  A generous leader points to other people and says, “Look at what God is doing in that church, that leader’s life, that blog.”

Smart leaders constantly lift others up.  Lasting leaders are constantly giving credit to others.  Bad news is expedient but tearing people down is not lasting.  It is not sustainable.  Sharing good news never goes out of style.  Start promoting others today and watch our influence increase.
