I have known many successful leaders in my lifetime. As I watch for the one thing that gives them lasting success, a single trait consistently emerges. The most successful, the most lasting, the ones who make the greatest impact, are extravagantly generous.
Not only are they financial generous, but they lead with an open hand. They are constantly pointing to others and promoting their success. They say, “Look over there. Look at what God is doing in their life, in their family, in their church.”
I was reminded of this principle when I reviewed this month’s Top 10 Most Read list. Five of the 10 posts promoted the work of others.
Posts of my thoughts certainly have their place. After all, it is my website. However, posts sharing the thoughts of others are consistently some of my most popular items. Generosity always wins out.
