Today’s second speaker was Reggie Joiner.  Reggie is the founder and CEO of Orange, a non-profit organization whose purpose is to influence those who influence the next generation. Orange provides resources and training for churches and organizations that create environments for parents, kids and teenagers.  The following are 15 leadership quotes I captured during his session:

1. I did not have a plan when I jumped into ministry.
2. I had an ADD approach to ministry.
3. It’s not really your vision that determines your success.
4. The mission and vision statement of most of us have is very similar.
5. It’s not your vision that will determine your success. It is your strategy.
6. There are a lot of great organizations that close because they don’t have a great strategy.
7. A strategy is a plan of action with an end in mind.
8. We believe in alignment.
9. The alignment makes the difference in accomplishing something.
10. You don’t have to work at getting misaligned as a team.
11. The first question we ask is “What do we want someone to become?”
12. Another question is “Where do we want them to be?”
13. If you can only get people to come to one thing, what would that one thing be?
14. You can’t get your team on the same page if you don’t get them in the same room.
15. If you don’t economize on the time when you can put your team around the table focusing on the right end in mind, you’ll create a different kind of momentum.
