This Year’s Top 25 Most Read Christian Leadership Blogs As Determined By You The Readers

Each week I post my Top 10 Leadership Posts I Read The Previous Week.  These are some of my most popular posts because they cut through the clutter and point leaders to top quality resources and leadership content.  These posts spotlight some of the greatest thinkers and writers in the Christian leadership community.

The following are This Year’s Top 25 Most Read Christian Leadership Blogs As Determined By You The Readers:  If you have not subscribed to these sites, I recommend you click on the provided links and do so today.  To give you a picture of the quality writing they produce, their link goes to their most-clicked article provided on my site.

  1. Carey Nieuwhof – I agree with Carey and my mutual friend Jeff Henderson, Carey is going to own the internet.  The stats from this past year would support that theory.  He was the most read writer on my site.
  2.  Scott Cochrane – Scott serves on the executive team for the Willow Creek Association, as Vice President, International Ministries. Following a five-year stint as Executive Pastor of a large church, Scott returned to Willow Creek Canada in 2009 as Executive Director, and in 2012 relocated to Illinois to take up his current post with the Willow Creek Association.
  3. Dan Reiland – Dan is one of the people I admire most in Christian leadership.  He is the Executive Pastor at 12Stone Church in Lawrenceville, Georgia. He previously partnered with John Maxwell for 20 years, first as Executive Pastor at Skyline Wesleyan Church in San Diego, then as Vice President of Leadership and Church Development at INJOY.  Dan is best known as a leader with a pastor’s heart and a coach’s instincts. He truly loves the local church, and is described as one of the nation’s most innovative church thinkers.  His passion is developing and empowering leaders who want to grow, are willing to take risks, and enjoy the journey.
  4. Chuck Lawless – Chuck is Dean of Doctoral Studies and Vice-President of Spiritual Formation and Ministry Centers at Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, NC, where he also serves as Professor of Evangelism and Missions. In addition, he is Team Leader for Theological Education Strategists for the International Mission Board of the Southern Baptist Convention.
  5. Charles Stone – Charles is the senior pastor of West Park Church in London, Ontario, Canada.  He has been in ministry for 33 years—21 of those as a senior pastor.  Charles started StoneWell ministries to help pastors and churches get unstuck. I coach pastors, consult with churches, speak, train and write about leadership, church ministry, and the neuroscience application to leadership to help Christian leaders achieve their fullest kingdom potential.
  6. Phil Cooke – Phil produced TV and film programming in more than 60 countries around the world, and in the process, been shot at, survived two military coups, fallen out of a helicopter, and in Africa, been threatened with prison. And during that time – through his company Cooke Media Group in Los Angeles, California – he’s helped some of the largest Christian and nonprofit organizations in the world use the media to tell their story in a changing, disrupted culture.
  7. Rich Birch – The fourth Canadian in the Top 7!!!  He has been involved in church leadership for over 20 years.  Early on Rich had the privilege of leading in one of the very first multisite churches in North America.  He led the charge in helping The Meeting House in Toronto to become the leading multi-site church in Canada with over 4,500 people in 6 locations. (Today they are 17 locations with somewhere over 6,000 people attending.) In addition, Rich served on the leadership team of Connexus Community Church in Ontario, a North Point Community Church Strategic Partner.
  8. Shawn Lovejoy -Shawn is the Founder & CEO of CourageToLead.com. His heart beats for coaching leaders through what keeps them up at night. Shawn has been a successful real estate developer, church planter, megachurch pastor, and successful entrepreneur and leadership coach. CourageToLead.com facilitates leadership growth and organizational health for leaders all around the globe.
  9. Paul Alexander – Paul has more than 20 years of experience serving in the local church, the last 16 of which have been on the Sr. Leadership Teams of some of the nation’s leading mega-churches.  Currently, he serves as an Executive Pastor at Sun Valley Community Church, a large multi-site church located in the Phoenix Metro area.  Paul is also a strategist and ministry consultant at The Unstuck Group.
  10. Ron Edmondson – Ron is the CEO of Leadership Network.  Previously, he was a pastor, revitalizing two churches and planting two churches. I have also been a church leadership consultant.  Ron is passionate about planting churches, but also helping established churches thrive.  He loves assisting pastors and those in ministry think through leadership, strategy and life.
  11. Kurt Bubna –  Kurt has been in pastoral ministry since 1976 and is the founding and Senior Pastor of Eastpoint Church, a vibrant, growing, and community-focused congregation in Spokane Valley, Washington.  His ministry experience includes being a marriage and family pastor, teaching pastor, church planter, and senior pastor for many years.
  12. Josh Reich – Josh is the Lead Pastor of Revolution Church in Tucson, AZ.  He is the area lead for Acts 29 in Arizona.  He also speaks at a variety of conferences on church planting, leadership and marriage where he has the opportunity to coach pastors and church plants. Cox – Serving as its founding and lead pastor, Grace Hills Church has grown from a couple of families to an average attendance of over 500 while sending people to plant locally and abroad.  Brandon and his wife were sent out by Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California, where he served as a Pastor while re-developing the online, global community of Pastors.com.
  14. Brandon Kelley via RookiePreacher.com – The role of a pastor is demanding.  Some weeks you probably find yourself wondering how you are going to get your sermon prepared or wondering how you are going to lead through a problem.  Brandon and Joe Hoagland want to help you in those areas.

Brett Powell – Brett has been in full-time ministry for the past 25 years with various opportunities to serve.  He has worked in parishes; as an executive with Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO); as Director of a Archdiocesan Development Office and currently; as the Archbishop’s Delegate of Development and Ministries for the Archdiocese of Vancouver.  He created this blog as an encouraging resource for leaders that are building organizations, ministries and parishes in pursuit of the Great Commission (Matt. 28:18-20).  The new evangelization is the most important mission in the world, it is where leadership matters most.
  17. Steve Fogg – Steve is a digital strategist who loves all things digital, who loves to help folks just like you to reach more people and create more impact through social media and search engines.  He has been a Graphic Designer, a Creative Director, a Director, a Communications Director to one incredible church called Crossway.  Steve started Crossway’s church online congregation in 2015 which now averages over 2,500 every week.

Tony Morgan and The Unstuck Group – Tony is the OG, The Godfather, to all of us who serve pastors and church leaders.  He is arguably the smartest person I know.  He is the Founder and Lead Strategist of The Unstuck Group. For 14 years, Tony served on the senior leadership teams at West Ridge Church (Dallas, GA), NewSpring Church (Anderson, SC) and Granger Community Church (Granger, IN). His website is a must-read!
  21.
