Since the first gathering in 1997, Passion has had the privilege of encountering millions of students and 18-25 year olds, a sea of young people whose lives have been transformed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Tonight, approximately 60,000 people, with 83 countries represented, ascended on Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, GA for this year’s event. The following are 32 Leadership Lessons from the event’s co-founder Louie Giglio and Levi Lusko’s Passion 2020 Opening Session:

- I’m looking at a miracle right now. This gathering is a miracle.
- I’m still astonished how many people don’t have one verse of God’s Word.
- Jesus is the light of the world.
- Before you were born or even knew your name, God knew you would be in the exact seat you are sitting in right now.
- God is going to immeasurably more than we could ever think or imagine.

- Nothing great has ever been accomplished with half of someone’s heart.
- What are you building your life on?
- Those who don’t learn from the past are condemned to repeat it.
- We can think too short-term. Not long-term. Not Marvel.
- 100 years ago, this nation was preparing for the dust bowl.
- Almost 7,000 people died of dust pneumonia.
- This was 100% preventable… 100 million acres were plowed up in the 1920s.
- The difficulty of the weather showing up showed they had nothing rooted in the earth.
- 30 comes after 20.
- Quickly on the heels of your 20s comes your 30s.
- Some of us are moving slowing towards a future we won’t like when we get there.
- You don’t have to have dirty 30s if you live purely in your 20s.
- Just because you can doesn’t mean you should.
- Now yells louder but Later lasts longer.
- One out of every four Google searches are porn in nature.
- There is more to sex than skin on skin.
- Let’s use our 20s to seek out God.
- Could it be possible we blink and lose a generation?
- The devil doesn’t mind you’re here. Hearing is different than doing.
- God delights most in prayers we pray during times of dryness.
- There is more than one way to build your life on sand.
- Neither religion or irreligion can handle the weight of your soul.
- 60% of college students at Yale say they are lonely.
- FYI, none of us have squeaky clean pasts.
- God can make a way even when there is no way.
- God planted a tree to hang your sin on, our shame on (the cross).
- We are walking in a Ground Zero of a brand new beginning.
Just incredible!!! I can’t wait to see what God is going to do through this event.
