Maxwell’s 27 Things Which Make You A Better Person"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am currently reading <strong>John Maxwell’s new book <em>The Power Of Five For Network Marketing<\/em>.<\/strong>\u00a0 This great little book, only 97 pages, was written just for network marketers. \u00a0However, like all of John’s content, the applications apply to all leaders.<\/p>\n<p>Early in the book, he says one of the advantages of being a network marketer is it simply makes you a better person. \u00a0Why? \u00a0Because your focus will be on bringing value to others. \u00a0In other words, having good values and bringing value to others makes better people.<\/p>\n<p>John then provides <strong>27\u00a0Things Which Make You A Better Person<\/strong>. \u00a0Once again, this is an excerpt from his new book <em>The Power Of Five For Network Marketing<\/em>.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>Attitude<\/strong> – When people value attitude they will think and feel positively about themselves and their future.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hard Work<\/strong> – When people value hard work they will experience fulfillment and build confidence knowing they did their best.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Influence<\/strong> – When people value influence they will know they are their “brother & sister’s keeper” and add value to them.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Productivity<\/strong> – When people value productivity they will sense accomplishment and be respected for getting things done.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Inspiration<\/strong> – When people value inspiration they will encourage others to find and follow their dreams.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ambition<\/strong> – When people value ambition they will be driven by a sense of purpose and feel good about themselves and others.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Responsibility<\/strong> – When people value responsibility they will own their mistakes and be appreciated and trusted.<\/li>\n<li><strong>People<\/strong> – When people value people they will develop others and help them reach their potential.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dependability<\/strong> – When people value dependability they will trust and respect one another and work better together.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Generosity<\/strong> – When people value generosity they will focus on the needs of others and experience joy in helping them.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Sowing<\/strong> – When people value sowing they will reap a return on their investment in others.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Perspectives<\/strong> – When people value perspectives they will see the other person’s point of view and be receptive to change.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Integrity<\/strong> – When people value integrity they will do things for the right reasons and set the standard for good character.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Direction<\/strong> – When people value direction they will make solid decisions based upon their purpose and path.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Self-Discipline<\/strong> – When people value self-discipline they will control their words and actions assisting healthy relationships.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Understanding<\/strong> – When people value understanding they will connect with others and truly appreciate and value them.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Humility<\/strong> – When people value humility they will be comfortable with humanness and be transparent and honest.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Listening<\/strong> – When people value listening they will create a positive environment with the same intensity they want to be heard and follow up with questions for clarification.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Connection<\/strong> – When people value connection they will develop meaningful and genuine life-long relationships.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Patience<\/strong> – When people value patience they will value process while encouraging understanding, cooperation and trust.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Boundaries<\/strong> – When people value boundaries they will know what is expected of them and for them and feel secure.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Saving<\/strong> – When people value saving they will remove the pressure of debt and have financial options.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Ownership<\/strong> – When people value ownership they will work hard to build and preserve their financial future.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Correction<\/strong> – When people value correction they will be open to feedback and understand self-discipline as the essential for change.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Intentionality<\/strong> – When people value intentionality they will prioritize their actions to ensure greater success.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Goals<\/strong> – When people value goals they will build their self-esteem by pursuing and achieving their dreams.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Growth<\/strong> – When people value growth they will become more valuable to others as they develop themselves.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>What is one thing from the list above you
