A major priority I have as a leader, who happens to also be Christian, is to engage and serve our culture.  I don’t want to remove myself from culture or be antagonistic towards it.  At the same time, I don’t necessarily want to embrace all of it.  But rather, I want to effectively engage it so I can make a difference.

As part of my strategy,I am identifying 15 pop culture icons that I will begin faithfully praying for.  Now I don’t personally know any of these people.  I am not saying they are bad people at all.

On the contrary, I am acknowledging their incredible giftedness and the impact they have on people.  Almost all do some incredible charitable work that improves the quality of human life for many.  I am praying that God blesses them and their families.  I am also praying that these individuals will allow Jesus to take full control of their life and tell His wonderful story through them.

As Christians, we need to serve our culture.  And if I ever have the opportunity to find common ground and serve any of these individuals (listed in alphabetical order) while visibly demonstrating the love of Christ to them, I would be honored to do so.
