Because of our mobile and fast-paced society, podcasts are growing in popularity at an incredibly rapid rate.  As a pastor or Christian leader you are probably looking for great resources in this area.  The following are 5 Podcasts Pastors And Church Leaders Should Be Listening To.  Each has helped me become a better Christian leader.  They will help you as well.

  1. Carey Nieuwhof – Click iTunes to subscribe.  Ever wish you could have a conversation with some of the top leaders in ministry today? Well, that is what Carey’s leadership podcast is designed to bring you.  When you subscribe, you’ll never miss conversations with leaders like Andy Stanley, Perry Noble, Pete Wilson, Reggie Joiner, Jon Acuff, Ron Edmondson, Derwin Gray and others whose leadership insights can change your ministry and your life.
  2. 3. Andy Stanley – Click iTunes to subscribe.  This resource is a monthly conversation designed to help leaders go further, faster.  Andy is a pastor, communicator, author, and the founder of North Point Ministries in Alpharetta, GA and, in my opinion, is the world’s top communicator on leadership. 4. Perry Noble – Click iTunes to subscribe.  Since 2010, the wise and talented Shane Duffey and Perry, the Senior Pastor of NewSpring Church, have gotten together to talk about leadership on the Perry Noble Leadership Podcast. Recently, they also launched the Singleness, Sex, and Dating Podcast where Perry answers questions from singles all over the world.
  5. Move The Sticks – Click iTunes to subscribe.  This weekly podcast by former NFL scout Daniel Jeremiah where he breaks down the latest news and action around the league from a scout’s perspective may seem like an unusual recommendation but allow me to explain.  Daniel, the son of David Jeremiah, the senior pastor of Shadow Mountain Community Church, was recently recognized as the 100 most essential and influential people to follow on Twitter.  As I heard him analyze teams and players, I realized it is exactly how I analyze churches and their staffs.  Simply substitute the name of your church for the Atlanta Falcons and you will become a more competent church leader.

An example of David’s work is his June 4th interview with Jon Gordon, author of The Carpenter and Energy Bus on creating a healthy workplace culture.  Read their quotes below and notice the applications for your church.
