Last night I had the privilege of seeing God Bless The Broken Road.  My wife said to me as we were leaving the theatre, “That was a great movie!  Nobody died.  A story you can follow.  Christians need to support this movie.”  I completely agree.

God Bless The Broken Road is the story of Amber Hill, played by Lindsay Pusipher, struggling with depression, financial troubles, and her faith after her husband was killed while serving our country in Afghanistan.

This is the type of movie Christians need to support.  This is a redemptive story which deals with real-life issues.  Solid cast.  Moving story.  God-honoring in every way.  A must for anyone struggling with any type of issue.  Go see it this weekend.

  8. All Leaders Get Better With A Coach – Because of his reckless driving, Jackson was sent to the minors to improve his skills.  While there, he was paired with a mentor named Joe Carter, played by Gary Grubbs.  Carter said, “Everyone knows when to go fast.  But you need to know when to go fast and when to go slow.”
  9. During Time Of Crisis God Wants You To Experience Community.  The Devil Wants You To Experience Isolation. – After her husband’s death, Amber isolated herself from both her family and the church family.
  10. Great friends are there through good times and bad times.  Amber’s two best friends from church, played by Jordin Sparks and Robin Givens, continued to maintain the relationship and serve her during her struggle with grief.
  11. A Reckless Leader Is A Dangerous Leader – Carter said, “Racing is dangerous enough without adding recklessness to the mix.”
  12. Leaders Are Known By Their Actions – Carter told Jackson, “If you care about them (Amber and Bree) show it.”
