This is not a partisan email.  I have readers of this site who are both Republican and Democrat.  In addition, I have readers from countries who are pro-American and anti-American.  This is simply a non-emotional breakdown of the amazing video shown above.

1 Timothy 2:1-3 commands us, “First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, 2 for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. 3 This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior.“

We pray for President Trump, Vice President Pence, our congressional leaders, our governors, our medical professionals, and our civic leaders during these uncertain times that God will give them supernatural wisdom, protection, good health, strength, peace, and clarity.

As we watch the President’s Good Friday address, we discover 22 Lessons From The Spiritual Leadership Of President Donald Trump During The Coronavirus COVID-19.  All quotes are from President Trump.

  1. Spiritual Leaders Point People To The Cross And Jesus’s Suffering And Death – “On this Good Friday, Christians from all around the world remember the suffering and death upon the cross of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
  2. Spiritual Leaders Celebrate The Resurrection – “At Easter Sunday, we will celebrate his glorious resurrection.”
  3. Spiritual Leaders Know They Are In A Battle With Unseen Enemies – Ephesians 6:12 states, “For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”  President Trump said, “Our nation is engaged in a battle like never before — the invisible enemy.”
  4. Spiritual Leaders Are Servant Leaders – “Our brave doctors, nurses, and responders — first responders, responders of all — are fighting to save lives. Our workers are racing to deliver critical medical supplies. Our best scientists are working around the clock to develop lifesaving therapeutics, and I think they’re doing really well in doing so.”
  5. Spiritual Leaders Make Tremendous Sacrifices – “Our people are making tremendous sacrifices to end this pandemic.”
  6. Spiritual Leaders Acknowledge Harsh Realities – “Though we will not be able to gather together with one another as we normally would on Easter”
  7. Spiritual Leaders Call Others To Grow In Their Personal Relationship With God (Even During Harsh Realities) – “we can use this sacred time to focus on prayer, reflection, and growing in our personal relationship with God.”
  8. Spiritual Leaders Call People To Prayer – “I ask all Americans to pray that God will heal our nation;”
  9. Spiritual Leaders Pray For Comfort To Those Who Are Hurting And Grieving – “to bring comfort to those who are grieving;”
  10. Spiritual Leaders Pray For Strength To Those Who Are Serving – “to give strength to the doctors, nurses, and healthcare workers;”
  11. Spiritual Leaders Pray For Restored Health For Those Who Are Sick – “to restore health to the sick;”
  12. Spiritual Leaders Pray For Hope For Those Who Are Suffering – “and to renew the hope in every person who is suffering.”
  13. Spiritual Leaders Are Always Pointing Towards A Brighter Future – “Our nation will come through like never before.”
  14. Spiritual Leaders Are Grateful Leaders – “I thank the many families who have prayed for me and for my family. And your prayers are felt, and I am forever grateful.”
  15. Spiritual Leaders Are Always Pointing To The Contributions Of Others And Their Service To God – “I’d like to thank our great Vice President and his wonderful wife, who we all know very well, Karen”
  16. Spiritual Leaders’ Success Is Determined By Those Closest To Them – “for the incredible job they do and for their service not only to the country but for their service to God.”
  17. Spiritual Leaders Have A Biblical Worldview – “Almost 3,000 years ago, the Prophet Isaiah wrote these words: “Darkness covers the Earth… but the Lord rises upon you, and His glory appears over you… For the Lord will be your everlasting light.”
  18. Spiritual Leaders Believe In The Power Of Prayer – “As our nation battles the invisible enemy, we reaffirm that Americans believe in the power of prayer.”
  19. Spiritual Leaders Are Grateful For The Gift Of Eternal Life – “We give thanks for the majesty of creation and for the gift of eternal life.”
  20. Spiritual Leaders Place Their Trust In The Hands Of Almighty God – “And we place our trust in the hands of Almighty God.”
  21. Spiritual Leaders Pray For The Nations – “I want to thank everybody in our country and beyond for all they’ve had to put up with. One hundred and eighty-four countries, as of this morning, are fighting this enemy and we pray for them all.”
  22. Spiritual Leaders Point People To Local Pastors And Churches – “With that, I’d like to introduce Bishop Harry Jackson from Maryland, a highly respected gentleman who is a member of our faith and a person that we have tremendous respect for.”  Bishop Jackson then led a beautiful time of prayer and teaching on Good Friday, the resurrection, and the Passover.

I have one question based upon the 21 points above, are you a spiritual leader?

Romans 13:1-5 reminds us, “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God. 2 Therefore whoever resists the authorities resists what God has appointed, and those who resist will incur judgment. 3 For rulers are not a terror to good conduct, but to bad. Would you have no fear of the one who is in authority? Then do what is good, and you will receive his approval, 4 for he is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for he does not bear the sword in vain. For he is the servant of God, an avenger who carries out God’s wrath on the wrongdoer. 5 Therefore one must be in subjection, not only to avoid God’s wrath but also for the sake of conscience.“
