My friends at Aspen Group had a blast celebrating their recent annual Design Week! Their team focused on five unique projects our team has worked on in different regions around the country. If you missed it, not to worry—here’s a quick recap:
Day One: First Baptist Church of Greensburg
We partnered with First Baptist Church of Greensburg, in Greensburg, Indiana, on an addition of a new entry to their building, with a ramp for those who need assistance. We also renovated their space to give them more connection spaces for their growing congregation. Aspen Architectural Designer, Andrea Burks, and Architect, Craig Dobyns, kicked off Design Week live on Facebook, giving us a peek into this project.
Day Two: Hickory Creek Church
Aspen partnered with Hickory Creek Church in Frankfort, Illinois, on a multi-phase project that spanned over ten years and creatively expanded their facility—utilizing every inch of space on their property—without expanding their footprint.
Day Three: Benet Academy
In this 33,000-square-foot addition, Aspen designed and developed unique solutions for Benet Academy, in Lisle, Illinois. One of the new features is a spacious common area for students to develop relationships. A Library & Collaboration center was also added, as well as classrooms, and outdoor spaces.
Day Four: Cross Community Church
Cross Community Church, in Port Royal, South Carolina, has faced a challenge not unfamiliar to many churches—the lack of a permanent home. Currently meeting in the local YMCA, this multi-generational church family is maxing out their space. Aspen Group and architectural partner, Felder & Associates, are working on a design solution to give them a brand new facility, with a very unique structural design.
Day Five: The Bridge Church
The Bridge Church, in Bradenton, Florida has a mission to love people where they are. This close knit church family really values relationships and connection, yet they lack adequate space on their campus to connect and gather. Aspen’s Andrea Burks, Kristen Freeman, and Craig Dobyns closed out the week live on Facebook, to discuss the design of this project!
